<![CDATA[Show BIOS-Updates and Firmware-Updates]]>Today I read that the firmware of HP-Printers has some critical vulnerabilities (score 9.8 of 10):

The CPU-vulnerabilities of the Meltdown- and Spectre-Family (Spectre and Meltdown are just two vulnerabilities, scientist found more) require Windows updates but also BIOS updates to make the system secure.

For other hardware like SSDs there may also be firmware-updates available.

So it would be cool when VulnDetect also tells me that there are BIOS-Updates and Firmware-Updates for my installed hardware available.

I believe that we already have some preliminary support for this in the agent, but we did not at all explore the data availability.
So this one is on hold for now.
But feel free to keep this thread updated with info about this and by all means remind us again around the end of the year
