There are many types of foreign object damage in aviation which includes runway FOD like objects falling from aircraft, taxiway/apron FOD like the moving of tiny objects due to jet blasts, and maintenance FOD like tools, tiny parts, and materials due to maintenance or construction work. All these can harm the aircraft badly including the impact on its operations and injuring individuals.
