Microsoft Office 2016 - Missing Products
-
@Tom the following products are still missing:
- Microsoft Access 2016
- Microsoft Publisher 2016
-
There will come some general changes to how we detect Microsoft Office going forward, but this awaits some changes in the agent. After we've made these changes, we will add detection for the remaining Office products and hope fully soon we will also be able to bundle them as Office, with Word, Excel and so on being "sub" products in someway (at least when they have the same release / version numbers).
-
Currently Microsoft Excel 2016 is also not detected.
So the following products are still missing:
- Microsoft Access 2016
- Microsoft Excel 2016
- Microsoft Publisher 2016
-
@OLLI_S Microsoft Office 2016 16.0.11231.20122 Unknown
Microsoft Outlook 2016 16.0.11231.20130 Unknown
Microsoft PowerPoint 2016 16.0.11231.20130 Unknown
Microsoft Word 2016 16.0.11231.20130 Unknown
These are showing as unknown. -
@KI108
Tom explained in the https://vulndetect.org/topic/150/solved-opera-installed-version-not-detected/5 what the status "Unknown" means.
This is the reason why I suggested Explain the Labels in the List of Applications (so you might up-vote this suggestion). -
@OLLI_S
Thanks. I up-voted at both places. -
@KI108 Thank you!
-
Today I see in the list of applications the following products:
Microsoft Office 2016
- Microsoft Access
- Microsoft Excel 2016
- Microsoft Outlook 2016
- Microsoft PowerPoint 2016
- Microsoft Publisher
- Microsoft Word 2016
At Access and Publisher the text 2016 is missing.
But now all products are detected.Microsoft OneNote is now no longer installed with Microsoft Office 2016 (I reinstalled Microsoft Office 2016), it is now a Windows 10 Store App.
So it is OK that it is not listed on my system. -
Hi,
Excel and OneNote are missing.
Powerpoint, Outlook and Word 16.0.12730.20250 are unknown . -
@GregAlexandre I have now the business UI and there bundling is not enabled.
So I can not test if Office is bundled correctly... -
@GregAlexandre Excel should be shown correctly.
OneNote is still "Internal" as we need to redo some parts of the ruleset, but the version of OneNote should follow that of the other Office apps, assuming your are running the version included with Office.
-
@Tom : Excel is now seen as "insecure" for 16.0.12730.20250 . I suppose this lead the whole "Office" to be seen as "Insecure".
Powerpoint, Outlook and Word 16.0.12730.20250 are now "OK".
I checked: Office OneNote not seen.
Hope this helps.

Hi,
Today, in bundle, only Onedrive is seen. ???
Regards. -
@GregAlexandre Can you PM me your email address, then I will go check your results
